Unwell

Tristan, a scattered and anxious teenage boy, uses an alter ego to cope with the challenges and struggles of growing up. Through facing the forgotten memories of his past, he can heal and move forward in life through honesty with his friends and family. A creative and abstract play that allows us to face the reality of the things in our head versus what we say out loud.

This play was written for my students in 2022 after a disappointing OAP season. My cast wanted to do something original that they could not be compared to. For several months, I interviewed my students on issues from their past, family dynamics, and problems that teenagers face that they wish people understood more. The result was this play, a huge labor of love that I'm very proud of.
