About Us

TeachPlayWrite publishes quality scripts written by theatre educators and licenses them for production on educational stages. Our mission is to make finding and producing quality plays for secondary theatre simpler and faster.

Created in 2022 by 3 current/retired public school teachers in the Dallas, TX area, we know the need for quality scripts for secondary school theatre. We created TPW because we wanted scripts that are relevant to middle and high school students that contain mostly characters close to their age ranges.

Our Team

Cliff is a writer/director from the Dallas, TX area. He has written sixteen screenplays, over twenty full-length plays, several one-act plays, and over three hundred pieces of poetry. His published plays have been produced throughout the United States, Canada, and in the UK. Cliff has a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities. He recently took early retirement from teaching high school theatre after thirty years, during which time he directed thirty-five musicals and almost a hundred plays. He's excited to support new and experienced educational theatre playwrights in their journeys "from the stage to the page."

Stephen is an Internet professional, as well as an actor and filmmaker. He has been building web sites since 1994, and he handles all technical aspects of TeachPlayWrite.
